Beethoven is the composer of pattern and rythm. His 7th symphony, named by Wagner the “apotheosis of the dance”, mixes his outstanding vitality and his inner poetry. Stravinsky’s musical mechanism is as strong as Beethoven’s. It hides an hyper-sensitivity behind the impartiality of his language. Will The Rite of Spring be the ultimate challenge for Les Dissonances or a next step on the celebration of collective joy?
