Carte blanche to Xavier Phillips

Paris, Eglise Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles

Xavier Phillips was only 15 years old when he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris to study cello. After earning first prizes for different prestigious international contests, he met Mstislav Rostropovitch, who finalized his musical training and invited him to play as a soloist.
He has been invited to play with the World's greatest orchestras : New-York Philharmonic, Berliner Symphoniker, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, ... He also attaches a great importance to chamber music which he enjoys sharing with artists such as Schlomo Mintz, François-Frédéric Guy or David Grimal.

For his concert in the Eglise Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles, Xavier Phillips will play all Bach's suites for cello.

We thank the Fondation Sisley-D'Ornano, l'Autre Saison's main partner since 2019, as well as the Caisse d'Epargne Ile-de-France for their support on these concerts.
