Jean-Philippe Collard started to study piano at an early age and entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in Pierre Sancan's course.
He got in 1964 a piano First Prize and started an international career. He won in 1969 the Long-Thibaud contest and the Cziffra contest in 1970.
Jean-Philippe Collard currently plays in the world's greatest concert halls, such as the Carnegie Hall, the Teatro Colon, the Royal Albert Hall and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.
